EPICURE RENEWS LONG-TERM CONTRACT WITH MELBOURNE TOWN HALL

EPICURE is delighted to announce its exclusive partnership with City of Melbourne at the Melbourne Town Hall will extend into a third decade.

The gourmet catering and event specialist has renewed a venue management contract with the City of Melbourne and will deliver high-quality services at the historic landmark for a further five years.

As it has done since 1997, EPICURE will provide food, event management, cleaning and maintenance.

“Our onsite team is dedicated to providing great experiences for a range of events at the iconic venue,” said Spotless General Manager for Leisure, Sports & Entertainment Ian Delmenico. “The team’s passion is evident in everything they do as they all take great pride in working at the Town Hall.”

EPICURE will continue to work closely with the City of Melbourne to implement improvements at the site, including technological upgrades, while long-term relationships with local suppliers will ensure premium menus that showcase the very best of Victorian produce.

Lord Mayor Robert Doyle said the Council was impressed by EPICURE’s pledge to establish a relationship with social enterprise Streat as part of the new contract.

“EPICURE will participate in Streat’s training programs to provide opportunities for vulnerable young people – often homeless – and will also purchase Streat’s roasted coffee beans to use throughout the Town Hall: both of these commitments got a big tick from us,” the Lord Mayor said.

Catering for events for 10 to as many as 2000 people, Melbourne Town Hall is the showcase destination for the city’s cultural and civic life. It hosts to theatrical performances, weddings, receptions, exhibitions, corporate launches, school concerts, conferences and cocktail parties.

EPICURE prides itself on the creation and promotion of special events at the Town Hall, such as the “Gingerbread Village” during the Christmas season. This hand-crafted gingerbread recreation of the City of Melbourne has raised money for charities.

“EPICURE is proud of our long association with the Melbourne Town Hall and are excited to ensure it retains its reputation as a superior events venue for many years to come,” Mr Delmenico said.

EPICURE is a Spotless company that provides catering and event services at a range of locations throughout Australia and New Zealand.

For the past 14 years, Spotless has been associated with one of the Town Hall’s gala events, the Melbourne Awards. In 2016, Spotless will again be a major sponsor for the initiative, which recognises organisations and individuals who have made a positive and invaluable contribution to the city. The winners will be announced at the venue in November.
